The typical problem that occurs with all BMWs of the E36 series at some point is the headliner coming loose. This is because the soft foam component on the headliner dissolves over the years as a result of the aging process and then there is no longer any connection between the fabric and the headlining cardboard. The fabric is then pulled down further and further by its own weight. The only thing that helps here is a new move. Kelbe and attempts at fastening can be avoided.
