We still had an M54 engine from an E46 325i lying around from one of the many projects and engine conversions. So we came up with the idea of making something out of this, namely a table. The task consisted in this only and exclusively from the parts of the existing engine and the remaining parts of the vehicle, except for the roles of the table, which we had to buy of course, these are not to be found on the vehicle.
After a long period of “trying” which consisted of building the table and taking it apart again because the parts weren’t enough or it just didn’t fit in one place, we found the solution that fits and, I hope, too I do, look reasonably beautiful and please.
The parts were all cleaned with cold cleaner, brake cleaner, gasoline and a brush in a parts washing barrel and, if necessary, polished. Nothing was painted!
