BMW M3 E92 Coupé DTM Champion Edition 

In 2012 Bruno Spengler won the DTM championship with a BMW.

 

This was celebrated at BMW with a special edition that was limited to 54 copies. This model is recognized by the matt black paint called Frozen Black Metallic. There is a large M logo on the side behind the front wheel

 

and the /// M stripes on the carbon roof

and the trunk lid.

Some of Bruno Spengler’s signatures can be found in the interior. The interior is also equipped with a lot of carbon and Alcantara, which gives you the feeling of sitting in a real racing car.

While the professionals are fighting for the first points of the 2013 DTM season at Hockenheim, the special model in honor of last year’s title holder is in the BMW branch …

As announced, the DTM Champion Edition is limited to 54 units based on the 54 DTM victories so far and, like the car of title holder Bruno Spengler, is painted in Frozen Black. There are also special accents in the colors of BMW Motorsport: an M logo behind the front wheels, a three-color stripe on the roof and trunk lid

 

and a reference to Bruno Spengler in the rear side window characterize the special model.

The matt appearance extends to the rims and is rounded off by various elements in dark chrome and carbon add-on parts. In the interior, the door sill is reminiscent of the helmet design of the title holder, the interior trim is also provided with a Spengler signature and consecutive numbering.

Technically, the BMW M3 DTM Champion Edition offers no special features, only the known scope of the Competition Package and M Driver’s Package are installed. The 54 customers can still hope to be faster than the rest with their special M3, because a BMW M Fascination Nordschleife driver training course under the direction of Bruno Spengler was included in the price of 99,000 euros for all buyers.

The 54 special models were built in the Regensburg plant, and they received the final touches from February 2013 in the BMW M GmbH factory.

All 54 copies of the BMW M3 Bruno Spengler Edition are painted in matt frozen black, just like the victorious BMW M3 DTM of the Canadian, with stripes in the colors of M GmbH on the roof and trunk lid. The SPE lettering with the Canadian flag on the rear side windows is also striking. The appearance of the special model, limited to 54 units, is completed by the logo of BMW M GmbH below the gills in the front fenders.

Technically, the BMW M3 DTM Champion Edition does not offer any major special features, only the known scope of the Competition Package and M Driver’s Package are installed.
