BMW reserve canisters 6 and 9 liters 82119413174

At the time, BMW offered 2 variants of the reserve canister for the spare wheel well in the ETK. Once the 6 liter canister for vehicles with 14 inch rims and once the reserve canister with 9 liters for vehicles with more than 15 inch rims BMW part number 82119413174. Unfortunately, we were no longer able to read the full part number of the smaller canister on the part number label because this 6 liter canister is no longer listed in the ETK (Electronic Parts Catalog), and more precise verification was no longer possible. The last digits that we could read from the part number were the numbers…98 369. Both canisters had in the middle a hole for fastening and were inserted into the spare wheel well in the spare wheel and fastened together with the spare wheel, and therefore fit in all BMW models, although the canister with a volume of 6 liters only fit in vehicles with 14 inch tires.

Both canister models were made by the company’s metal manufacturer

Bellino GmbH

Leonhard-Weiss-Str. 1-4

73037 Göppingen

which also manufactured these canisters for other vehicle brands such as Mercedes.

This canister can be installed on all vehicles that do not have a level control (SA220).

Below is a direct comparison of the two canisters, so you can clearly see the differences:

Of course, both canister models have not been available from BMW for years.

Of course, there are also BMW installation instructions for both reserve canisters. We have listed some pictures of the installation instructions below:

Shift boot suede BMW part number 9068413

One of the very rare gadgets is the shift boot and gear knob in “Rau Leder” from BMW with part number 9068413 and the associated gear knob also in “Rau Leder”, which could still be ordered from BMW until 2008. In the current parts catalogue, as of March 2023, this is no longer to be found in the parts catalogue. You can only find it if you search directly for it by entering the part number directly in the ETK (electronic parts catalogue) by specifying the part number.

BMW no longer lists many parts, especially the accessories and retrofit parts in the newer versions in the ETK, since these parts can no longer be ordered because they are no longer available.

We recently bought a BMW E36 that had such a shift boot and knob installed. Since we are restoring this vehicle to the factory delivery condition, we have removed all parts that were not installed in the vehicle from the factory and stored these parts in our BMW parts collection.

Here are the pictures of the shift boot and shift knob in rough leather:
