Müller LIFE edition
Im Jahre 1996 gab der BMW Händler „Autohaus Müller“ eine Sonderbestellung bei der BMW AG zur individuellen Anfertigung von insgesamt 24 BMW E36 Compact 316i in Auftrag, die sogenannte „Müllers LIFE Edition“.
Zur Klarstellung; Diese Fahrzeuge sind, wie übrigens ebenso die 1995 produzierten BMW M3 Lightwieght, welcher seinerzeit von der Firma Prptotype Technology Group (PTG) Racing“ im US Bundesstaat Virginia bei der BMW in Auftrag gegeben wurde, keine echten Sondermodelle welche von der BMW AG geplant und gebaut wurden, sondern lediglich eine Sonderbestellung von Händlern die diese identisch ausgestatteten Fahrzeuge bei BMW bestellt und sich in geringer Stückzahl haben anfertigen lassen, nicht mehr und nicht weniger!
Neben der bei der BMW Individual GmbH eigenen Sonderlack „Acid Grün“ erhielten diese Fahrzeuge ein eigenes „ Müllers LIFE Editions“ Logo in den seitlichen „M Technik Stoßleisten“ .
When the doors are opened, a door sill strip with the lettering “Müllers LIFE edition 1/24” specially made for this small special series indicates the limited, smallest special series.
However, the pattern of the fabric covering the seats was from an older series from the normal BMW BMW Individual program and not a fabric pattern specially produced for these 24 special models. The shift boot and the handbrake boot were both kept in a mint color on these vehicles.
Furthermore, a black headliner, the 3-spoke sports steering wheel, red and white taillights, white turn signals at the front and in the fenders, as well as electric hinged windows at the rear and an electric sunroof and a rear window wiper with automatic interval were installed ex works.
The vehicle shown below from this limited series was converted by one of the owners. Initially, this vehicle had left the BMW factory in the direction of “Autohaus Müller” with an automatic transmission and was converted to a manual transmission.
The chassis and the original rims were also exchanged and the vehicle was lowered.
