At the time, BMW offered 2 variants of the reserve canister for the spare wheel well in the ETK. Once the 6 liter canister for vehicles with 14 inch rims and once the reserve canister with 9 liters for vehicles with more than 15 inch rims BMW part number 82119413174. Unfortunately, we were no longer able to read the full part number of the smaller canister on the part number label because this 6 liter canister is no longer listed in the ETK (Electronic Parts Catalog), and more precise verification was no longer possible. The last digits that we could read from the part number were the numbers…98 369. Both canisters had in the middle a hole for fastening and were inserted into the spare wheel well in the spare wheel and fastened together with the spare wheel, and therefore fit in all BMW models, although the canister with a volume of 6 liters only fit in vehicles with 14 inch tires.

Both canister models were made by the company’s metal manufacturer

Bellino GmbH

Leonhard-Weiss-Str. 1-4

73037 Göppingen

which also manufactured these canisters for other vehicle brands such as Mercedes.

This canister can be installed on all vehicles that do not have a level control (SA220).

Below is a direct comparison of the two canisters, so you can clearly see the differences:

Of course, both canister models have not been available from BMW for years.

Of course, there are also BMW installation instructions for both reserve canisters. We have listed some pictures of the installation instructions below:
